My Fish Tank Water Simulator

This started off as a bit of a joke but it turned into something that actually works.
It's not a Fish simulator.
It's not a Fish Tank simulator.
It's a Fish Tank WATER simulator. It simulates Fish tank water.
You have a bucket, a tank, some tap water, water conditioner and fish. If you follow real aquarium procedures then your fish will last a long time. If you don't - then just like real life, your fish won't last a long time.
This is not a game. It's a sim. It operates in real time. You feed your fish once a day irl so you would feed these sim fish once a day as well.
The sim tracks seven different "chemicals" using real chemistry. If you add tap water (with chlorine) to your tank then the fish will go belly up. If you over-feed them then ammonia will build and they'll go belly up. You can use test strips to monitor ammonia and do water changes. Change too much water - belly up. Change too infrequently - belly up.
It does not make this hard or punish you - it simulates real life. I might continue it. I might not:
Features:
- add tap water to a bucket
- de-chlorinate tap water
- add bucket water to tank
- add fish
- feed fish
- test for ammonia
- remove water (for water change)
- fish will grow, get sick and die
- 7 different "chemicals" are tracked (not all working yet)
- save game
Aspirations:
- a "coach" mode that warns people when tank water chemistry is wrong (to help kids and adults keep a tank)
- nitrite and nitrate chemistry
- different fish species
- bubbles. Must have bubbles
- audio
- plants
- sand/rocks
