Love is acting up...

Post by zac352 »

I just used that bounce code that <author forgotten> gave me, and love isn't opening...
It just sits there... Doing nothing. Not opening. Nothing.
So I dragged it onto the love.exe. It opened the nogame screen. It's only happening to my projects I recently made. My life game works fine through batch files, my raycaster doesn't work at all. Only life works, nothing else. Does anyone know what's happening? I think it may be windows 7... I wish my Ubuntu was online, so I could download love package. (I tried installing java, didn't work, said to use apt-get). :brows:

tl;dr: LOVE IS NOT WORKING.

What exactly happens? You don't see any window at all? (Except for when dragging, of course.)

What happens if you run it from a terminal (or did you do that in the first place?)?

I tried running it from a BAT file, it opened, and just sat there. I added an echo in there, and it showed that love is stalling when run. It doesn't open anything.

Dragging main.lua onto love.exe opens the no game screen.

Why is this happening?

To explain the no-game screen, you should read this again.
The other thing is difficult to tell without viewing some code.
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass... and I'm all out of bubblegum.

The code shouldn't be necessary, only my life game works. The rest don't. I have about 20 projects in my "projects" directory. Only one of them is running... It's weird.

Yeah. And seeing the .bat might help too.

I don't know. I'll test them the next time I get on that computer. It's something with love and windows 7, because the files work fine on XP and vista.

Did you place the bat inside the project folder? If yes, you might be missing a dot there...
