German Forum

Post by YGOFreak1997 »

Hey Guys!

Am I allowed to create a purely german LÖVE-Forum? If yes, who would help me with it?
Also look at my LÖVE-Tutorial-Youtube-Channel (German ^^)

Well, you are allowed, it's not like anyone can stop you.

But it would be much nicer to just have the Germans here, don't you think?

Yes, but i think it's complicated if some Users just want to communicate and dicuss in German. And of course, i'll do promotion for this original forum! I also think that the german forum would be a good place for new german users to discuss with and find german programmer-friends. Or what do you think?

If you don't mind me throwing in my two cents ..
Having everyone on the same forum would give those who don't speak English the opportunity to benefit from posts in English by having them translated by those who do, without their having to go looking for answers elsewhere.
The vast majority of German-speakers I've met speak pretty good English, and there's some translation in the wiki already.

Of course, a German section of the forum would help combat spam.

Like Rude said, no one is going to stop you, but as non-native English speaker myself, I don't see why German developers couldn't just hang out here with the rest of us. Most German people speak at least decent English, and as a developer, you're going to need to learn to speak English anyway. If there's anyone who really can't make themselves understood in English, Google Translate is actually pretty decent. At least it's good enough to make yourself understood.

I'm German, and I approve this message.
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass... and I'm all out of bubblegum.
