I sort of sometimes hypnotize myself, when I can't sleep, then I just concentrate on sleep and tiredness and try not to let my thoughts wander off.

Well, that's very close to hypnotizing but not quite.

You're convincing yourself to fall sleep, which is kinda sorta very similar to what you're doing when you're hypnotizing someone, but falling sleep is definitely not the same as getting into trance!

One of the things nobody knows about trance and hypnotizing is, that you're fully to partially conscious during trance. You can (and sorta have to, since it's basically the point) register everything the hypnotist is saying.

I kinda wish there was a off-topic section on this forum so I could talk a bit more in depth about that...

Nope we are still patiently waiting :megagrin:
