Enet host not broadcasting/receiving messages

Post by Gunroar:Cannon() »

I have a problem with sock.lua( which uses enet) that causes a broadcasted message not to send at one point. The client is still connected and connection is "reliable". The client is updating and so is the server. Is there any condition that causes host:broadcast(...) not to work. Client also can't send stuff.(It could be a problem in receiving too, just in case). Pls is this a known problem and is there a solution? thnx.

Mr Gunner, I haven't seen anything like this before. Are you sure the peer is being updated? I saw with one of your previous questions, https://love2d.org/forums/viewtopic.php ... d2c26911e2, that you use hump's gamestate. When switching in and out of game States an update may not be called, especially if you used registerEvents.

It's Mr. Cannon actually, but you where right, thnx. I see it was hard to pinpoint since I didn't give any code, but I was sure it was from the update, I even waited a long time before I decided to post this, but I guess I was wrong. I had suspicions that it was from something trivial, that's why I didn't push for an answer (sweating-smile emoji).
Oh, boy. What am I doing? I wish I could delete this post but I guess it (could?) be helpful to others. :P :cry:
