But it's not even for Lua.

This user posts nothing but links to this PHP IDE that has no relation to LÖVE whatsoever.
I don't think it's a user with good intentions. Please remove him.

Now you can use inbuilt debugger in IntelliJ Idea. No special settings are needed. Breakpoints just work.

I personally used Programmer's Notepad for the longest time: https://www.pnotepad.org/

But, after taking some time off to write an Atari 2600 game, I ended up using good ol' Notepad, and I haven't switched back, since!
(It's become a real problem, somebody please help! :P)

For anybody who might be interested in THAT project, here's a preview of the first boss: http://i.imgur.com/HDOM9Wj.gif
(This game was only 4KB, that is, 4096 BYTES!)

Im mostly new, but I've been making good progress using Visual Studio code on Ubuntu 19.10

I've compiled 11.3 from source, use VSC, and use PixelBytes's "Love Support" here from
https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/it ... yte-love2d

I used atom from Atom.io for a good while with their "love ide" from https://atom.io/packages/love-ide
Although i dont remember why I switched i just remembered i did not want to deal with it.

You mean you guys seriously aren't using CodeLobster with Ph4ntomWizzard1987's patched crustaceanlib.dll which adds luajit support? Are you living under a rock or something?

Intellij is pretty visually appealing I think but requires a bit of setup to run with love2d
I make games that run on potatoes :P

Hello there.

Good thread... I use ZeroBrane Studio, but development of this editor seems to be dead.

Really, what editor is FAST and has good support LOVE2D (debugging in particular) and not to "overengineered" ?

ZBS is still alive. ZBS mailing list is still alive and you get quick answers. ZBS is a matured program with only a few issues (if any). Thats why the mailing list is so quiet.
