Yea but after the popup its just a black overlay...
Oh. I guess the popup should take you to the home page (if you don't press back, my had).
I once made a game where, on the wasd part right and left where inverted, because obviously i had not tested it. So i uploaded this on a forum for people to test and they all confirmed it was fine... and then during the jam people complained...
Yea that shit happens.
Ouch
I am actually now using a fixed premade key binding library for this kind of games so that i never have to deal with this kind of error again. Within my game for example i request "up" and the lib checks w,up,dpad, analog sticks, numpad aaaand gravity sensors. So everything is in place now.
Nice I'll do stuff like that for my next projects

Did you click the "?" mark? I need to know this so I know whether or not to force a help popup to appear.
I did press the ? button in the main menu and read the first page or two, then I just skipped the rest. I was there for gameplay, and that popup had none.

Yea w works for up, but i dont have a qwerts keyboard so these directions are randomly scattered for me.
So i usually use the arrow keys. But note that a game can also bypass a custom layout and use the raw keyboard letters, you might consider using that in the future, its a little change with no visible side effects for most players but instantly corrects any problem caused by non standard keyboards for those who need such.

Hmmm, fair enough.
I'm trying to see if I can expand the game. Number one priority, as it seems, is to make the game slower But I don't really have any ideas on how to do this that much as I thought the speed was fine (maybe level ups can take longer and less clouds).
And also right now it's an arcade game (like most game jam games I do) so I'm also thinking about what I could add to make the game more replayable (besides more character). If I can make it have more variety this would make it more roguelike, buy that's fine. Hmmm...I need ideas.

I think I'll keep it the same as an arcade game and just add a bunch of content to be happier with it, like, ~10 more playable characters and a few more bosses.
On a side note...
Seems like this guy really moves around, and he levels up fast This made me realise I should have also slowed leveling up.

I realized the last boss in the first level might be to hard, and I don't really have time to update it so people might not see some content...and well....
here are some pics I'm proud of (there are a lot I like, but just some) ...
