Sound Designer available

Post by Langenstock »

Hi all

I'm a sound designer with over 10 years professional experience in film and television, however I'm relatively new to game audio and programming

I've been enjoying learning lua and love2d and have made several games via tutorials; all with the purpose of developing a sound design showreel

I'm looking for more projects to implement sound onto, so I'd like to offer my time to collaborate with some of you. I can offer a proper lift in the sound assets department for your game. Ideally I want to focus on sound design rather than music score right now so please keep that in mind.

cheers
Dave

Hi!
Thank you!
I suggest you to start with general purpose UI assets, uploaded to https://itch.io/
Thanks.

yo' try to mess arround with the music libraries in awesome love2d https://github.com/love2d-community/awe ... ve2d#music
I personally recomend you to try out the "wave" lib https://github.com/Ulydev/wave

Code: Select all

target = boardIndex.getWhosPeekingThisLine()
target:setObey(true)

My hobby project is starting to gain momentum and will soon need sound assets. For example:

- guns firing
- objects taking hits/damage
- explosions
- fire and fire damage
- menu clicks
- random dings and buzzes
- etc

My game blog is in my forum signature. I can explain more if OP or anyone else is interested.
Current project:
https://togfox.itch.io/backyard-gridiron-manager
American football manager/sim game - build and manage a roster and win season after season

If you're still interested, Wordie could use some sound effects. The music isn't really decided on, so don't worry about making the sounds fit with the current music. :)
