Re: Snayke [2.2]

I downloaded Snayke, but I have LÖVE 0.7.2, un Ubuntu 11.10, and it doesn't work. I tried to download the last Windows version from http://love2d.org/builds/ and run it with Wine, but I've got the same error I have on Ubuntu:

Code: Select all

utils.lua:13: attempt to call field 'isSupported' (a nil value)
At line 13 of utils.lua (I'm a newbie LUA developer on PSP) there's this code:
if love.graphics.isSupported("npot") then return xsize, ysize end
I don't know what is that code either why doesn't it work... Can you help me?
lf = love.filesystem
ls = love.sound
la = love.audio
lp = love.physics
lt = love.thread
li = love.image
lg = love.graphics

You can either get the ppa, or build it yourself.

Thank you, I couldn't find it...
I've got only a problem, when backround changes Snayke freezes for less than ½ second, but I'm on a netbook, so I think that's normal. I don't have other framerate problems, but what about making the selection change if you press ↑ when "Play" is selected (and Quit becomes selected) and if you press ↓ when Quit is selected?

Version 2.3:

• Visual feedback when you eat something
• Size scaling
• options for vsync and bloom
• Bloom changes/fixes
• 2 player multiplayer
• Portal food with visuals
• 'speed up' mode where you get faster as you eat more
• Menu improvements

Nixola, can you try to find what video card you have specifically? I don't think it should be that slow, it might be reverting to software instead of hardware for something.

I've got an Intel Atom 1.66GHZ as CPU, I think that it works as GPU too... How can I find that on Ubuntu 11.10? I don't know...
EDIT: Now it freezes for a lot less than 1/10 second

Interesting. I wonder what caused the fix/change. Maybe it also fixed Gijsb's bug as well?

(I doubt it, but I can hope!)

Fullscreen still crashes me when I try to set it to Fullscreen 1440x900.

Code: Select all

Dec 15 16:21:35 Elizabeth.local love[38913] <Warning>: CGDisplayBaseAddress is obsolete and returning NULL for display 0x4273c00
Could not set video mode: Error setting OpenGL fullscreen: invalid fullscreen drawable
Segmentation fault: 11
Other than that it works awesomely.

Was it just me or was this game mentioned in the latest OGWeekly, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=McXquBCy3Ao? It's not a huge show or anything, but still- publicity!

You're correct, Anton Riehl is doing the music (still WIP). :)

On that note, things have been fairly slow recently because of school but I hope to have a new version here sometime next week. Lots of changes!
