Re: What's everyone working on? (tigsource inspired)
The new anno games didn't have the same charm as 1602 for some reason. They lost 'something' in translation to higher-res graphics. I remember reading a blog post (I think) by the devs of 1849, talking about performance and pathing on mobile (?), dunno, was something along those lines. > That said, ...

Re: Hlp - collection of useful libraries for game development
I was literally going to implement an async asset loader this week until I saw this post for the second time lol.

Re: My Computer Vision Homework.
Thats medical isn't? So is the AI project in relation to the degree, or an unrelated interest?
I ask because theres a lot of people doing things like teaching AI to interpret xrays and so on and the work they're doing fascinates me.

Re: Slab - An Immediate Mode GUI Library In Lua
Cool, thanks Jack.
I'm literally implementing a menubar *today*. You fixed that fast. It's just 'new scene' and 'export' menu options, woopdeedoo, but Slab actually makes implementing small things like this enjoyable again. Thanks.

Re: 11.0 bugs
Are you running the game with "--fused" as one of the arguments or no? I had a folder in the source directory called 'data'. Kept running into trouble. Turns out the call to open the file was checking the %appdata%/LOVE directory, NOT the data folder in the source, until I ran it with '--f...

Re: Slab - An Immediate Mode GUI Library In Lua
Heads up the docs for the menu/menubar component just redirect to the main wiki.
I can figure it out from the api source anyhow, but others might have trouble.
I take it is there or it's just not documented yet?

> of course know and own 1849 and yeah, it's a very similar style. We're aiming a bit for bigger cities as, as far as I played 1849 the maps are really tiny. Lethis is another game in a similar style and pretty good as well. You played it, I KNEW IT. Anno 1602 too? Also yeah, was kind of annoyed how...

Re: What's everyone working on? (tigsource inspired)
I recognize you have limited art resources. I just saw it and thought "street fighter meets epic battle simulator" and it got hard af. > At the moment, all enemies can be played in debug mode, because we'll probably want to make them playable in one way or another later on, and because it ...

Re: What's everyone working on? (tigsource inspired)
Nelvin, looks like 1849 a bit. If you're not familiar it's a resource manager, where you ferry resources between buildings producing more and more complex resources. If you're not familiar look it up. It's a little hard to find on google (owing to how common the number '1849' is), so you'll have to ...

Re: What's everyone working on? (tigsource inspired)
Brawler looks cool as shit. I'd buy it on a whim if it were on psn. Would love to customize the playables and all the enemies. Heads, hair, complexion, scars, jacket, pants, shoes, eyes, all of it. Could make a mod to fight: yakuza mafia 50 midgets 20 blind nuns and a patridge in a pair tree. I want...
