Re: Lovely Public Community License (LPCL)
Robin, what you are asking for is completely different than what Linus and Guido are for their projects. You want to give one person the power to rule all projects which are under this license. This is a VERY bad idea. Is Linus in charge of all of the software for Linux and does Guido own all of th...

Re: Lovely Public Community License (LPCL)
What is a "time where voting of a week is not practical"? Does the Benovolent Dictator make an initial choice which the community may override if they disagree? It was not really meant to be used , just to serve as an example of how the community file could define the role of administrato...

Wow. I can use "o :). (Downside: to type " I have to do "(Space) or "" ) :ehem: . I have no idea what you're talking about. Yes, sorry, I was being a bit vague. I meant: if I press Shift+' (i.e. what would get " normally), nothing happens yet. If I press a key like &qu...

Re: Lovely Public Community License (LPCL)
Could it be an idea to add a clause that designates a single person as "Head maintainer" or something (to be determined by the community), who acts like a Benevolent Dictator, like Linus for Linux, or Guido for Python? I can imagine it would be a bit hard if all decisions must be made demo...

Re: LoveLife
How about a playing element to these simulations. I could do that. It would actually ruin the whole idea of the Game of Life (which is not actually a "game", by our standards), but it would be fun to make (and to play) nevertheless. Maybe I'll do it tomorrow, because it's past 11PM here (...

LoveLife
Proudly presenting: LoveLife It's not really a game, but in the Lua examples folder, there is an implementation for Conway's Game of Life . Because DOS does not seem to handle ASCII escape codes (which are used in the Lua script) correctly (and because I was too lazy to reboot to Linux...), I decide...
