I've started working on the prototype because I'm eager to get this off the ground. I've got a couple questions though, because I've never done a map that wasn't just basic rectangular tiles. 1. How does trimetric projection work? Do you actually create the tiles looking like they're already in trim...

highly recommend reading Programming in Lua - having a working knowledge of Lua will make working with LÖVE a lot easier. I second that. I bought PiL2 ( the PDF version ) and it has been very helpful for me so far. Lua has much to offer, a lot of which is probably pretty different from other langua...
