what does love.event.pump do?

What does [wiki]love.event.pump[/wiki] do? My programming knowledge is rather thin, and I can't really grasp what it does. Can someone explain it to me "for dummies" style? It's for translating the wiki.

Love Knows No Borders

I finally finished tweaking a workflow for the translation of the LÖVE wiki, using proper translation tools. It may seem like a lot to learn, but the payoff should be huge in the future, making it easy to update the translations.

It's all properly documented on GitHub. Please, share your thoughts!

Re: An ongoing problem for löve distribution.

Wine is sometimes able to run Windows löve games but sometimes it isn't. Can't remember an example, but trust me. In any case, that's only an interesting idea for those overzealous about source code. josefnpat's idea seemed like the ultimate solution... except that, what are the odds of zenity being...

Re: I am confused on how to play a game on linux

Just to clarify things. First of all, you should know that a .love file is just a zipped folder, and that's why you can "execute" a folder like that. Now, let's assume your main.lua is in a folder called mygame , in your desktop. That makes it a love folder, which you can open with LÖVE as...

Re: Portuguese Wiki terminology - PORTUGUESE SPEAKERS UNITE!

Some time ago I translated [wiki]Channel_(Português)[/wiki], mostly for test. I was trying to see how to add more functions to the "Functions" segment. But if you need any help with Brazilian Portuguese translations, count me in ;) Okay, I'll PM you when I get it all mapped out! The wiki ...

Re: Portuguese Wiki terminology - PORTUGUESE SPEAKERS UNITE!

Hey there! Took me a while, but I have something to show. Look at [wiki]love.audio (Português)[/wiki] and [wiki]love.audio.newSource (Português)[/wiki], pay special attention to the links. The changes in the templates allowed for a much more consistent treatment of terminology. As consistent as poss...

Re: CC+ for copyleft compatibility

The issue here is: what counts as a derivative work? And that's really unclear. You really should consult a lawyer if you want to be sure. And this is a large part of why I rarely use copyleft licenses for my own work any more. Yup, that's pretty much the issue I'm trying to make easier to work aro...

Re: CC+ for copyleft compatibility

Yeah, bartbes, nowhere in the license nor in the CC website it is stated that CC-by-SA doesn't extend to code. So it does extend to code. Sort of. I might have picked the wrong words. It extends to the distributed game, even if it's a binary, but the binary has to be also under CC-by-SA. Of course i...
