Re: IDE for Lua and LOVE?
Most of us here use simple text editors. Gedit is good. There are a few IDE but few are made with LÖVE in mind. Big bump for gEdit, that's what I use. Usually nano|pico too, but that's because I do a lot of server stuff and can't be bothered with emacs or vim. If you're running linux, give geany a ...

Re: Josefnpat's Splash
Hm. Your animation was really jerky on my copy of 0.7.2, even after I corrected the image to be PO2, so I opened it up. I wasn't a fan of how you did time calculations, so I tried to implement a similar effect using the significantly smoother DT. Attached is what I came up with (there's a speed var...

Re: LÖVE 0.7.2 Released
Yes, I know it's an LTS release, but as far as I'm concerned it's usually LTA (Long Time Ago) :P. Well, in theory it wouldn't do too much harm in most of the cases (if it is set to sensible defaults in other locations), but you're disabling proper detection of the file to play back, so you might ge...

Josefnpat's Splash
I wanted to try out the LOVEJam, so I spent a few minutes making mine. It's really basic, featuring some of my original artwork (oh god, my avatar???). I'm open to animation suggestions though. I'm planning on pushing this to my github account at some point. Nevertheless, I'd rather upload the *.lov...

Re: LÖVE 0.7.2 Released
Maybe they backported/updated in the mean time then? Because I know for a fact vrld introduced some metrics in what is, if I remember correctly, the libmodplug interface code that were not available in the 10.04 version of the lib. EDIT: See this buildlog (search for "ModPlugDecoder.cpp")...

Re: 64 bit Love for windows?
The 32-bit version works fine on my 64-bit Win7-install. Although I guess a 64-bit version would be nice for performance reasons, it's not like we really need it. Note that OSX doesn't have a 64-bit version either. I guess the main reason Linux does is because a 32-bit program depends on 32-bit lib...

Re: LÖVE 0.7.2 Released
If it compiles, it works, I may have confused this with 0.8.0, if so, then 0.7.2 will be in my ppa. It wasn't relevant to the conversation earlier, but the hg tip also compiles on 10.04. I wrote a quick php script that downloads ubuntu's launchpad information, and formats it so that you can see the...

Re: LÖVE 0.7.2 Released
I'm using the Ubuntu 10.04 LTS version, and was wondering if you could make a deb for it? I'm running 10.10, but I think you should still be able to add the ppa bartbes/love-stable . I will try this at home, thank you. Unfortunately, libmodplug on 10.04 is pretty outdated, so you will have to disab...

Re: 64 bit Love for windows?
Just for clarification, the 32 bit version does not work on your 64 bit system?
