Re: Arbitrary scissor shapes?
It would, in fact, not be an improvement. Everything I'm looking at besides masks are quite limited to aligned rectangles. It looks like we need more flexibility in our alpha compositing options. Namely, we need to be able to alpha mask things without going in and setting each pixel by hand. I tried...

Re: Arbitrary scissor shapes?
Hmm, looks like löve might eventually be able to do this with simple blending modes. Like this. I could be dead wrong, however.

Re: Arbitrary scissor shapes?
Clipping masks in general are unlovely? Or are you talking about specifically as a solution to this?

Re: Arbitrary scissor shapes?
that would be horribly, horribly slow. Yeah, that's basically what has me stumped here. Accessing image data directly is expensive. I don't think a reasonable implementation of this is possible with löve currently. I'm a bit surprised to find that Opengl restricts its scissors and viewports to rect...

Arbitrary scissor shapes?
Alright, I know full well that löve only supports rectangular scissor buffers. What I'm wondering if there's any other way I could get an irregular viewport-like shape drawn to the screen. Could I, for example, draw to a framebuffer and then create an arbitrary shape that could clear part of that bu...

Re: Getting it into 'vanilla' love.
This is rather exciting. Oh, and cmake sounds cool. I hate developing in C or C++, but when I do I always look for ways to keep the build system simple.

Mercurial and BitBucket are my favorite. Also, free unlimited private repos for students: http://blog.bitbucket.org/2011/04/01/free-unlimited-user-source-code-hosting-for-university-students/ Holy shit! Free unlimited hosting! I'm never going back! I can create my own repo on my server, I don't nee...

Re: lQuery
Alright, after a bit more research and playing around, I've decided that Mercurial rocks some major socks. Bitbucket seems quite nice as well. Now I can pretend to be a big grown-up programmer!

That's actually a lot more than I was expecting.
