I might finally install love from repositories and keep it up to date through synaptic and apt. :ugeek:
Great Developers of LÖVE: I could GPL startfield, but I'm not sure if I can. Can I?

Re: Future Game Distribution
If I may? As I said before, I still don't think the LÖVE Engine should carry thousands of lines of code just to ease the installation to "stupid" people and supply tasks of web based project centrals and package managers. Why do you people want to make your project the whole OS? I pretty a...

Re: Linux binaries request
Why not use the ones ATI provide? (Unless you mean that the slow performance is some kind of bug?) Because with ATI drivers system crashes quite often :( My hardware sux. I'm interested in knowing which packages Aptitude had to fetch in order to "repair" LÖVE so I can fix the deb-making s...

Re: [0.3.1] music doesn't loop, question about issue tracker
I have the same problem. I'm not sure that I get the point.
Is there any solution in 0.3.1 or should we wait for the next version?

Re: Linux binaries request
Some of the dependencies are LGPL'd, which means that they disallow static linkage (no, I'm not going to GPL LÖVE). But it would be nice to remove most of the dependencies ... so I'll consider it. It might take a while, though. What? LÖVE is not GPL? :o I'm absolutely for GPL LÖVE. Meanwhil...

Linux binaries request
Why don't you release statically linked Linux binaries?
I'm inexperienced Linux user who doesn't want to compile anything and is not able to make the deb package work.
Yes It's only my problem but I think this is usual way of distributing software. Even the Firefox does it.
Thanks

Re: Future features
I think this discussion is pointless. I don't want to flame. I wanted to say what I think. We both said it and it's up to rude to decide. We can just wait and obey him

Re: Future features
I understand but I still think the external application is better solution. Let small applications do their work and do it best. I don't see any arguments :) I don't need any. ;) You can't change my mind. It's just my vision. Why exactly do you think it's a bad solution? Because I don't like when a...

Re: Future features
If I could say my opinion, I'd say "I don't want it". I like it as it is as an interpreter. I can compress love directory to zip and sand it as a game to my friend. There are lots of nice game launchers for MAME. Everybody can make the same for Löve. If i's necessary please do it as an ex...

6. GUI interface to auto-detect all .love games and display them with their thumbnails. Ability to run any of detected games. We had one of those, but it was removed before the first release. (Check out ancient screenshots). Might return some day, probably as a "Recently opened games" lis...
