Re: Question about making a 2D Maple-Story game

You've set your goal very high if this is your first game project ever. Perhaps you should learn to crawl before you try to run.

Anyway, there's a camera library available... Somewhere... That should be quite helpful.

Re: Window resolutions

I generally tend to go with 800x600. It isn't super tiny on big screens, and not super huge on small screens either.

However, for my next project I will probably go with a wide screen resolution, just because it looks awesome.

Re: little help?

If you're just getting into programming, I wouldn't really recommend that you start with something like that.

Either way, what's the error message you're getting?

Re: Oh snap, aliens!

But i think in version < 0.5.0 it worked? I read the solution is it to pad the images before displaying. Sure, the problem isn't a difficult one to fix. It's just that it shouldn't have to be fixed in every single game. If a workaround has to be introduced then it should be implemented at the lowes...

Re: Hey folks! New convert from Torque here...

Whoever attempts to do this (I looked into LoveUI for the UI controls, but I was a bit overwhelmed) better be sure to call it P article ED it O r. Not Particle Editor and Resource Visualizer? I was so focused on trying to find a name to fit the acronym PENIS that I completely missed that one. Good ...

I might give it a shot once my fever decides to drop. Right now my brain isn't exactly working at 100%.
