Re: Need advice regarding fonts
I think putting the ttf on the game is the best solution. It's not a big file, and it's really easy to use. Each operating system has different fonts, even between versions of the same family. So I wouldn't try difficult things, just get a free font that you like :nyu: Thanks, I'll have to find a r...

Need advice regarding fonts
I have a quick question: how is everyone here loading fonts for their games? Is everyone using free fonts, putting the .ttf within their game directory or do some of you load fonts from the Windows directory? I'm using Windows 7 right now and the "true" path to a font is really convoluted,...

Re: .hack's Altimit OS Clone
Long ago I tried making my desktop look like that OS after watching .hack//SIGN. Very cool looking. How did you make the spinning icons? I modeled the icons in Google Sketchup, and used the built in scene/animation tool to make them spin. Google includes a .png sequence exporter so with a little Ph...

.hack's Altimit OS Clone
Hiya, I haven't posted in about a month, school has been too busy unfortunately. I've picked up an old project of mine, the goal of which is to emulate the looks, feel, sounds and features of a fictional operating system featured in the first four .hack video games. I started making it in Rainmeter,...

I'm making a program that can play songs with error noises using love.audio.setPitch(), basically trying to emulate
It's almost done, I'll probably post it this weekend.

Re: Waraiotoko's Splash
Fixed.tentus wrote:Seems a little excessive to include the entire Arial font, you could use a smaller ttf and cut filesize by a bunch. Also, you do not use dt or any other for of time control: when I view the file, it's over in less than a second (no frame cap on my computer, and lots of spare CPU).

Waraiotoko's Splash
Made this in 2.5 hours, it's really simple but I think it looks nice. I tried to make the lines look tapered but went a little too far so it doesn't look smooth. The title is "Gnat" since that's the name I plan to release games under. Also forewarning, the code is not made to be re-used, m...
