Re: Microphone Support for LÖVE!

Can Löve send that data over the internet? Yes, although it'll use a very large amount of bandwidth if you don't use a voice compression codec like Speex. Would it be possible to include a couple open-source voice-specific codecs in a future version of love? I'd love to see opus or celt support in ...

I'm also really looking forward to playing with this. The example menu looks gorgeous. Excellent work man.

One request: is there any chance you can package your documentation for offline use?

Thanks!

Re: LÖVE-based RTS

I'm surprised it can run at all on that hardware... You'd be surprised.. I play quake3 (800x600@60hz, everything high) at 100fps+, and red alert2 (1024x768) at a very playable fps.. It's just something about love disliking this video card. It only supports opengl 1.2 at a hardware level, and I assu...

Re: LÖVE-based RTS

Having an interesting bug. Might just be my poopy *nix graphics drivers acting up (I'm on a 16mb S3 SuperSavage). I find it odd that the ship sprites load and animate properly, but the base does not. I have a history with love rendering issues on this computer, so it probably isn't anything you need...

lövehost: My little way of contributing back.

As I'm not really a great lua coder, and I can't make awesome demos that show off the capabilities of löve, I thought I'd at least make something that could possibly aid in someone else's productivity. I give you lövehost: http://www.nanosleep.net/love/ Call it your own place to upload loves and col...

Suggestion: Implementing cuda support into love?

I noticed that when there is a gratuitous use of physics in a love game, the framerate tends to suffer. This may have already been considered before, and dismissed, but could löve make use of CUDA to offload the physics processing to the graphics card? I'm aware that that's probably a bit of work in...

also, make sure vsync is enabled. if you're using the nvidia or ati drivers, it's as simple as checking a box in nvidia-settings or amdcccle

Re: Is LÖVE really necessary?

I just stumbled across LÖVE, and I'm really enjoying using it to build my understanding of lua. It's relatively well documented.. and seems to have a really helpful community (I've been hanging out in irc, the folks there are very helpful!). I encourage the LÖVE devs to continue their great work. I ...
