I'm confused. I guess it makes some sense, but I don't know what it is from the translation. Why it says whale and why it says "Löve" instead of "Löve", which is the name of the product, is a mystery to me
Yeah
Actually, maybe slime or someone who knows about love more then we, might add in main love page "About love" or something like that, where will be explained why "ö", why "love", why "obey", because even i don't really remember.
I saw once that someone tried to answer that on this forums, but i'm to lazy to search for it.
ö is because it's metal (refer to the "documentary", "this is spinal tap"), and obey is because it was fun to mess with people here on the forums.
Me and my stuff True Neutral Aspirant. Why, yes, i do indeed enjoy sarcastically correcting others when they make the most blatant of spelling mistakes. No bullying or trolling the innocent tho.
Yeah, "obey" is a forum thing. I don't think it's proper to extend it beyond the forums, as according to the mandate of our Master, the ones who should Obey are our avatars. viewtopic.php?f=3&t=9 (and no, it's not a sect or anything, I'm just role-playing a bit)
According to Anders "rude" Ruud, it was because he felt that something was missing when he first drew the logo.

Later, when I designed the logo (the curvy LÖVE text), I added the umlauts on a whim since I decided that something was missing from the logo. That's how it became LÖVE.
Incidentally, googling for Löve I found out that it seems to be a last name in some European countries. I don't know if that had any influence in the choice though.
