NEWS

Here’s some cool news:

Free looping video clips are on the way that you’ll be able to use in games, for website backgrounds, Zoom backgrounds and all kinds of other things.

Here’s an example of how I used one as a background for my other website:

https://www.dunesisland.org/episodes

I think it really brings the page to life in a way that static images just can’t.

Anyhow, I’ll be opening those pages soon. Stay tuned.

In the meantime, if you find my work helpful, please consider making a small donation on my site to help support my efforts if you can.

Stay healthy and safe!

OMINOUS 8-BIT – (Looping)

NEWS

More Ogg Music Packs are ready!

A good number of game developers have asked me if they can download multiple music tracks all at once instead of one at a time, so I’m making Ogg music packs available that include all of the tracks for any given page once that page is full and I’m no longer adding any more tracks to it.

You’ll see a button near the top of the page if a music pack is available.

Presently, music packs are available for the following pages:

Action 1
Chiptunes 1-3
Fantasy 1-10
Dark/Ominous
Horror / Surreal
Looping Music
Puzzle Music 1-5
Sci-Fi / Space

If you find my work helpful, please consider making a small donation on my website to help support my efforts.

Have a joyous and safe holiday!

Happy New Year, fellow creatives!

Did everybody drink too much? I certainly hope so! ;-)

Seriously, though, 2020 was pretty rough…I really hope 2021 is better.

Anyhow, here are some brand new MP3 music tracks to kick off the New Year. 100% free to use with attribution:

GOINGS-ON IN PIXEL TOWN (standard and looping)
THE 8-BIT MARCH (standard and looping)
WINDLE PIXEL’S 8-BIT CIRCUS (standard and looping)

https://soundimage.org/chiptunes-4/

NEWS

Continuing my quest to provide Ogg versions of all my music tracks, I just added my history music page to the list.

https://soundimage.org/ancient/

If you aren't familiar with the Ogg format, it has several advantages over MP3 audio:

-Ogg tracks sound fantastic…almost as good as the original WAV recordings from which they are derived…plus they are much smaller in terms of file size.

-Game engines handle looping Ogg tracks better…MP3 tracks occasionally have to be edited at the looping point.

Give them a try!

In the meantime, if you find my free MP3 tracks helpful, please consider making a small donation on my website to help support my efforts.

Have a good week and please stay safe.

“COIN-OP STRANGENESS” (standard and looping)
“NOSTALGIC FOR QUIRKYVILLE” (standard and looping)
https://soundimage.org/chiptunes-4/

NEWS

For those of you who are using my free images, the links menu on my site has gotten out of control (again) so I’ve created a menu page for all of my image pages. You can access it from the menu bar toward the top of my site.

In the meantime, if you find my free music to be helpful, please consider making a small donation on my website to help support my efforts.

Please stay safe.

NEWS

It’s great to see that people are beginning to download my Ogg music packs…I’m so glad they’re helpful! Personally, I think they’re a really good value…you get all of the Ogg tracks from any given page on my site (usually around 20) for the same price as purchasing 3 tracks individually. Check them out!

The MP3 versions, as always, are completely free.

Speaking of which, if you find my free music to be helpful, please consider making a small donation on my website to help support my efforts.

Keep safe and stay healthy.

Happy February Everyone,

This week I have a cool new sci-fi track, some quirky chiptunes tracks and a nice fantasy track. All are free to use with attribution:

On my Sci-Fi 10 page:

“CYBERPUNK CITY GAME MENU” – (Looping) – Kind of a dreamy/techno/slightly ominous feel.

https://soundimage.org/sci-fi-10/

On my Chiptunes 4 page:

“INKY AND BLINKY’S R&B BAND” – (Looping)
“INKY AND BLINKY’S R&B BAND_V001” – (Standard and Looping)

You didn’t know that they’re famous R&B musicians? How do you think they keep themselves occupied when nobody’s playing PacMan? ;-)

https://soundimage.org/chiptunes-4/

And on my Fantasy 1 page:

“IMAGINARY PLACES” – (Looping) – Perhaps for the intro to a fantasy game?

https://soundimage.org/fantasy-11/

THIS WEEK’S NEWS

Free Original Video Footage and Zoom Backgrounds

I’ve begun building a new library of free video clips that might be useful for website backgrounds, Zoom backgrounds, films, games or anything else you can think of:

https://soundimage.org/free-video-footage/

As I build this library, please feel free to share suggestions for the types of backgrounds that might be helpful to you.

In the meantime, if you find my free assets helpful, please consider making a small donation on my website to help support my efforts.
