Ah, I thought concerned joe was greenlit, but apparently not.
Guess you're right, gotta remake it with triangles, there's no way around it...

Played the demo just now, I really love this. Just when I think I have a handle on the game, the animation switches and god damn the difficulty really spikes. It's ruthless and awesome.
Very nice work and congrats on the greenlight!

That's exactly what I intended :)

So, what's the plan now?

Are you "done" with the game and intending to launch it soon, or are you going to keep working on it?

Actually, it's going to be released on the first of may.
I'm really surprised that it was greenlit before it was out, so I'll have to put a lot of work into the next two weeks for all the Steam integration stuff.
Other than that it's basically "done".
Depending on how successful it is I'd like to add more levels in the future - I only have three levels even though I worked on six because either the artists didn't reply, or the licensing fees were unaffordable to me.

Today I'm sending out a couple of review copies and tomorrow I'm gonna start having a look at how all the steamworks stuff works.

Congrats this is really good for the love community lol. We should have a greenlit section of the wiki lol. But it would be cool if you post on the blog about your adeventure making this game.

quadrant has just been released!

http://quadrantgame.com/

I've been working on quadrant for almost two years.
At first I started making it in XNA, but after 1-2 months I switched to LÖVE.
I'm very glad I did that.

It's great making games in LÖVE and the community is really nice as well.
Thanks everyone!

The game is open source, even though the code may be a little messy in some cases. (I had to rush it for the release date)
The game will also be out on mobile in a month or so, it still needs some polishing.
If you're very curious you can try the .love on your device, it already works for the most part.

So what's planned for the future?

I want to implement steam workshop integration so people can easily share their own levels - and total conversions ;).
I also wanted to add some more features like an endless mode and some other things.

Anyway, super excited!

:D

Congratulations on the release! I tried out the game and it is very nice and addictive, it took me quite a while before I started to get a hang of it, even though it is quite straightforward. Would be nice if you continue to add more songs / Themes and leaderboards so that you can compete :)

I'm glad you like it Jeeper!
I'd love to add more songs! :)
But first thing on the list is Steam Workshop support, let's hope it won't be too hard...
