Valuable intelligence from our sworn enemies shouldn't go to waste! Although I suppose the Danes would be our sworn enemies, but Germany is close enough.YGOFreak1997 wrote:Reporting to the swedish king? What do you mean? xD

I'm not German, but I understand what you're saying (and will be reporting it to the Swedish king...)
Also, I'm 21.

Re: My project: Spiral Adventure
The control scheme is also quite weird. I would have expected up (or w) to be jump, not k. Hmmm... I don't think it's weird at all. In most classic platformers (if not all of them) jump was a button, not "up" direction. Actually only in fighting games I remeber to be able to jump by press...

Re: My project: Spiral Adventure
Not sure if this has been posted already, but I felt like it was very unintuitive that the character doesn't feel like it builds up any vertical momentum when it jumps. It is, after all, a spring. You'd think that you'd be able to jump higher by timing your bounces. The control scheme is also quite ...

Re: Recommended screen recorders (for Mac)
ffmpeg can record a section of the desktop, but you'll have to get your hands dirty with the command line. To find the position and size of a Window, you may be able to do this. I've only tried it in Linux, but I imagine it might work in OS X as well.

Re: Love2d using wayland?
AFAIK, absolutely nothing in the application code should have to change to support wayland, so as long as OpenGL and SDL work with wayland, it should be all good.

Re: Better Tutorials for Löve
The things is, none of those things have anything to do with LÖVE. LÖVE just helps you draw things, play sounds and emulate physics. All those things you mentioned are generic game development topics, and a tutorial for Unity will probably give you all the skills you need to implement it in LÖVE, as...

Re: [Lua] Structured Tables
That "shortcut" you mention at the end is horrible, please don't use it! Why is that? I thought it would be more efficient if you're doing it in a loop, for example, to save lookups. First of all, t.foo is more efficient than t["foo"], due to how Lua works, but much worse: if us...
