About collisions, I choosed the simple way. I resolve them by rotating the velocity vector from an angle of 90°, while reducing this vector (the x-component at alpha percent of its own value). On Win and Linux I use SciTE: https://love2d.org/wiki/Scite

I edit the code in a simple text editor with highlighing, and to try it I go to "main.lua" tab and press F5. For me it's the faster way to work.

You should have explained better. For anyone who tries: The "A" is the jump button. The problem is that, from the ground, the ball jumps a distance of 3 times a box. But coliding with the box edge (pushing against the box), it jumps just to the top of the box and stays in top of the box. N...

Could you make that "W" jumps? I'm not used to the space bar and using arrows and mouse is a bit tricky (my desk is small xD).

Anyway, great job, the aesthetic is really cool and the gameplay is really smooth :awesome:
