I suspect the issue is a missing font - perhaps you assumed a regular Windows font would be present, but that's often not the case on Linux and Mac. As has been stated, you're running the wrong version of LÖVE. It should be 0.10.2 . Also, LÖVE does not use, and cannot load, system fonts. By default...
